Man Drowned in Bunaken Waters Have Not Been Found

MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – The search processing of the man namely Marthen Maneking who drowned in the waters of Bunaken, from the firts day on January 17 until January 19 had not results anymore.

SAR Team was used rubber boat for sweeping into the mangrove forests as the main target. And the other team used Rib is more focused searching in Nain, Mantehage and Siladen Island.

The fourth day on January 20, SAR team just did monitoring.

“We just monitor, if there are any signs, Basarnas will go to the location. And if people around the coast of the island get suspicious information, please directly inform to the Basarnas,” said Ferry Arianto as public relation of Basarnas, on Saturday (20/1/2018).

According Ferry, Basarnas has coordinated with head of Bunaken Sub-district. But until now, they have not received any signs of a victim.

Meanwhile, Steven Lumowa who led the search operation said the team had do as much as possible to search. But they are still ready when there is information related to the victim.

“Basarnas assisted by Sar such as RAPI Manado, PMI Manado City, TAGANA Manado. We remain coordinated in the search for victims drowned between the Bunaken Sea and Manado Tua,” said Lumowa.
