Chinese Ambassador Visits Manado – Bitung Road Toll

MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – Chinese Ambassador Mr Xiao Qian visited Bitung City on Thursday (8/3/2018). Mr. Xiao was accompanied by Mayor of Bitung City Maxmilian Lomban, in order to see the condition and development of Bitung City.

Mr Xiao visits some places, such as Special Economic Zone, Container Port, and especially the road toll of Manado – Bitung.

Lomban explained to the Ambassador of China about several strategic and development locations in Bitung City. According to him, in addition as an industrial city that has many companies engaged in fisheries, Bitung City also as a tourism city. Because Bitung has many advantages in tourism, such as, plants, endemic animals, nature preserves, and some cozy resorts.

“Bitung City almost has the all strategic potential in economic growth. But the most important thing to development of Bitung City is the improvement of infrastructure as a physical needs,” said Lomban.

Enhancement of infrastructure is Manado-Bitung Toll which the work has reached 61 percent. The toll road is planned to be completed the end of 2018.

“This toll road will become the main route from Bitung City to all corners of the region in North Sulawesi and the surrounding areas,” said Lomban.

He urged the residents of Bitung City has to support this program, because it is essentially for the welfare of the people in Bitung.
