MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – East Bolaang Mongondow regency is known as one of the areas in North Sulawesi Province which have many tourist attraction. Among the beaches, lakes to the green forest that lies on hills and land in this area.
Several popular tourist destinations in this area are Lake Torotakon Buyat, Lake Mooat, Mount Ambang, Nenas Island, Lake Togid, Motongkad Lake, Matabulu Waterfall, Tanjung Woka Beach and Kosibidan Tutuyan Waterfall.
Boltim is known as an area with many lakes, and recently know of the travelers, namely Patokan Beach located in Jiko Village, District Motongkad.
The number of lakes in East Boltim makes a poet of North Sulawesi Jamal Rahman Iroth from admired Boltim as “the country of a thousand lakes”.
The beauty of nature in Bolaang Mongondow has amazed the former Governor of North Sulawesi Sinyo Hary Sarundayang. During his tenure, Sinyo said, “East Bolaang Mongondow is like a swargaloka hidden in the mainland of North Sulawesi”.
