Trafficking Victim Picked Up in Nabire Successfully

MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – Department for Women’s Empowerment of Tomohon City, in collaboration with Tomohon Police managed to pick up a 16 years old girl from Tomohon who became victims of trafficking in Nabire, Papua. In addition to the victim, the person who allegedly brought the victim was also arrested.

Head of Department for Women’s Empowerment Olga Karinda, said that the picking up of victims and perpetrators was conducted since last week. According to Olga, the pick-up was facilitated by Tomohon Government and also cooperated with Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment of North Sulawesi.

“Currently, the victim have been returned to her parents. But still in our controlled. Meanwhile, the perpetrator is from of North Tomohon District, being detained at Mapolres Tomohon, “ said Olga, Tuesday (28/11/2017).

He appealed, every parent should be taking care of their daughter, so that there will not become victims of trafficking.

Meanwhile, Head of Reserse Kriminal (Reskrim) AKP Aswar Nur confirmed the arrest of the perpetrators and victims of the trafficking.
