The Preparation Of Bilateral Cope West 2018

MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – The joint exercise of “Cope West” between Indonesian Air Force  and United State Air Forces (PACAF), will again held this year at Sam Ratulangi Manado Air Base, 12 to 23 March 2018 .

From the monitoring Zona Utara journalist, the busyness began to be seen in Apron Lanud Sam Ratulangi Manado. A number of personnel from both the Air Foce are preparing the equipment supporting of Cope West, which will be officially opened by the Deputy Assistant of Operations (Waasop) Air Force Chief of Staff Marsma TNI Anang Nurhadi.

“Colonel Pnb Ferdinand Roring as Commandant of Cope West 2018, along with personnel from the US Air Force are checking some of the support equipment on the runway. This will be used by F-16 from both countries in exercise later,” said personnel of Sam Ratulangi Air Base Captain Siswadi.

Known, in this exercise will be simulated Joint Operation between two countries in a joint air operations.

Then, Air Combat Maneuver training, which is simulated air combat or Dog Fight between F-16 Air Force aircraft with F-16 aircraft from US Air Force. Both of these exercises will take place in the North Sulawesi region, especially in Talaud Islands.

Cope West it self is a bilateral exercise between the American Air Force and the Indonesia Air Force. Manado City has been the host since 2016.
