MANADO, ZONAUTARA.com – Skull cave or known as Liang Tembo is nature tourism object in Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro) Regency has turns out a mystery.

This cave is considered sacred by local residents. However, Liang Tembo Cave is crowded with foreign and domestic tourists. They just wanted to prove that the Liang Tembo Cave is sacred.

Free license tour guide Jokman Harani, a resident of Tanaki Village, South Siau District said that the cave is visited by many tourists in order to take pictures. But at that location, tourists are prohibited from spitting.

“local and foreign tourists often come to this cave for take pictures. There are successful but there are also cannot find picture they were taked before,” he said.

The same thing was presented by Head of Lindongan 01, Tanaki Monika Mass Village. he told to Zona Utara reporter about the story of his deceased parents who used to be a guard of this cave.

“According to my parents, there are 12 skulls in cave that may be said that they are dotu of this area. They are 12 siblings guarding the hamlet of Tangganga, Tanaki Village,” said Monika.

She continued, one of the bravest was a woman named Dorongdasi. Due to his courage, the name Dorongdasi is used as the local dance name of Sitaro,  Dorongdasi Dance.

“Even though they have died, but because of their supernatural powers,  their skulls can be used to repel enemies (Mangindao Nation) that come to destroy or loot crops.Tanganga formerly named Mangingtanga which means facing the enemy, Monica said.

Foreign tourists from Germany Heiko M Schauer when interviewed in front of the cave said he was very interested in the existence of the cave.

“It is very impressive to be able take pictures in this cave,” he said.

So, it would be very easy to get this food every morning either it is on a street food stands or even a fancy restaurant. Manado city is popular for using strange meat on their dish. Such as: snake, pork, dog, bat, rat. You can found these extreme foods in Tomohon city, Kawangkoan village, and Langowan village.
